Tree health

Healthy trees, fruit trees most of all: chosen, planted, pruned and looked after.

Edible plants and exotic fruit were my specialty when I trained in the tropics, in the Whitsundays. Now I look after trees here, fruit trees most of all: the everyday and the exotic, and edible natives and bush foods.

Choosing

What will grow and fruit where you are, in your soil and with the water you've got.

Planting

Soil prepared, trees staked, mulched and watered in.

Pruning

Young trees shaped, older trees pruned for health and fruit, each at the right time of year.

Pests, disease and feeding

What's wrong with a tree, whether it matters, and what to do about it.

Something unusual

If you want to try a fruit you don't see in every backyard, ask me what will grow in your spot.

I trained as a nursery tradesperson and hold a Certificate III in Horticulture.
