About Amos

With plants for more than twenty years, in three corners of the country.

I'm Amos Grosche. I started out in 2004 mowing lawns, then did my apprenticeship as a nursery tradesperson in the Whitsundays. I stayed up there for years, in nurseries, the grounds of wedding venues and fine estates. My specialty then was edible plants and exotic fruit. I collected heliconias and gingers, and had a dwarf Jamaican heliconia when it first came out. I've worked with some of the rarest and most exotic plants in the country.

In 2013 I moved to Nowra on the South Coast and worked in a retail nursery, then in landscaping, parks and fine estates.

I've worked for some high-end clients in both places. I keep their names to myself, and I'd keep yours.

My apprenticeship certificate says nurseryman. They renamed it nursery tradesperson the year after, so I'm one of the last.

I've run my own business since 2016. In 2021 and 2022 I looked after 34 acres of garden on an estate in the Upper Hunter.

Fine gardening is my specialty now. I live in Moonan Flat, at the top of the valley under Barrington Tops, and work across the Hunter Valley and Barrington Tops area.
